about

This album was recorded in the summer and winter of 2011, and originally appeared as a series of videos on youtube. The majority of the songs were recorded in either a closet or the living room of the Thanks House in St Cloud MN, the last two songs were recorded at Goodbye Blue Mondays in New York City by a friend in the audience. These songs represent a turning point in the direction of Timmy R.O.T.'s song writing as he was going from the politicalness of Ring of Truth, to the newer more personal songs that she has put out as Sama. Timmy R.O.T. is Sama before she transitioned. The name of this album and the song it is named after comes from a video that was put out by Crimethinc that was a big inspiration on Timmy R.O.T. The songs range from political protest songs that speak of working together to build a better world, to more personal introspective songs about life struggles and love and heartbreak.
